Melbourne Health History Walks App


The Melbourne Health History Walks app was launched by VicHealth at the 15th World Congress on Public Health, which was held in Melbourne from 3-7 April 2017.

The walking app provides four self-guided walking tours to educate and engage delegates with the achievements of health promotion in Victoria and can be downloaded by clicking on the relevant link below:

There are four walks to choose from, one of which that has a focus on physical activity & Melbourne’s amazing sporting precinct. VicHealth are very keen to continue conversations around future opportunities to promote, leverage and expand the use of this app to support walking participation.

Barriers and Facilitators to Participation in Organised Physical Activity Survey

Parents, guardians, coaches and children are invited to take part in a study to explore the benefits and barriers to participation in organised physical activity programs around Australia for children with physical and developmental disabilities and challenges. Parents of children with disabilities, developmental challenges, or additional needs aged between 4 -17 years are encouraged to participate in this study.
