State and Regional Sport Program Workshop - Save the Dates!


Learn how to increase your capability and grow as a sporting organisation at a series of workshops run by Vicsport facilitators.

In the third and final year of the SSP/RSP program, Vicsport and VicHealth will host four workshops over the next six months aimed at improving the sustainability of SSA's and RSA's.

Each day will consist of 2 x 3 hour workshops, with the option of attending one or both sessions based on the topics that are most relevant to your sporting organisation.

Dates of the workshops are listed below:

Day 1 – Wednesday 20 September 2017
Morning workshop 9.30am – 12.30pm
Afternoon workshop 1.30pm – 4.30pm

End of Program Celebration – Friday 18 May 2018
12.30pm – 4.30pm

NB: Where possible we have aligned these dates with other events to allow RSA staff to make a single trip. This includes the VicHealth Healthy Choices Forum on 19 September, and the VicHealth awards on 5 December.

AusPlay survey results released by Australian Sports Commission

The Australian Sport Commission (ASC) recently released the results of the Ausplay survey – a large scale national population tracking survey funded and led by the ASC. This is great news for the sport sector, as there has been a lack of up-to-date national participation data since the release of the ABS Sport and Recreation: A Statistical Overview, Australia in 2012 and the ASC’s Participation in Exercise, Recreation and Sport (ERASS) in 2010.
