Sport in Australia, and particularly Victoria, is going through a significant period of change with regard to governance, board diversity and the expectations of board members. Each year sporting organisations undertake their role with little time allocated for review and reflection of their own performance and board culture.
What can I expect at the Strengthening Successful Boards Workshop?
This workshop focuses on developing effective boards by addressing their performance, behaviour and culture, just as we would our elite athletes. Scenario based discussions will provide participants with an increased understanding of practical strategies to address board performance and long-term culture change. Some of the key take-outs you can expect from attending the Strengthening Successful Boards Workshop include...- An increased knowledge of best practice relating to assessing and improving board performance, behaviour and culture through active discussion and scenarios
- Better awareness, knowledge and action of incoming Mandatory Board Quotas
- An increased awareness of the benefits of effective board practices
- The opportunity to network, share ideas, and form relationships with current and future Board Members
