Connect & Support Participation Network Session - April
The Connect & Support Participation Network is a network for all staff working in State Sporting Associations (SSAs), Regional Sport Assemblies (RSAs) and Local Government Authorities (LGAs) engaged in participation, inclusion or sport development work.
Partnerships are an integral aspect of the sports industry, and this session we will be doing a deep-dive into what makes for a successful partnership between SSAs, LGAs and RSAs.
Agenda
A panel discussion will be facilitated by Michaela Cook, Vicsport's Participation & Inclusion Manager. Attendees will be able to participate in small-group networking after the panel discussion.
Guest panelists include:
- Meghan Mayman, General Manager at Regional Sport Victoria
- Michael Flynn, Executive Officer at Sports Central
- Mel Pratt, Sports Development Officer at Cardinia Shire Council
Topics covered will include:
- What you need to do before reaching out to a partner organisation to make it succeed.
- How to tailor your strategies to create meaningful and sustainable partnerships.
- Tips for effective communication, and examples of what not to do.
- Case studies and examples from our panelists' experiences.
