Workshop: Articulating the Value of your Sport

Vicsport and the Centre for Sport and Social Impact (La Trobe University) are delivering a grant writing workshop to support sport organisations to articulate the value of sport in delivering on social connection, physical activity, and mental well-being.

The aim is to support sport organisations to brush-up on their skills for grant writing, communicating to Boards, members, and improve stakeholder relationships. This will be an interactive workshop where we will provide an overview of each topic, and then provide time for attendees to workshop solutions for their sport in small groups. It is hoped that by the end of the session, attendees can walk away with some tools that can support future grant writing or impact reporting.

NB: Initially designed as an in-person event, we will now hold the Workshop via Zoom due to the latest Victorian lockdown.

Topics covered include:

  1. Behaviour Change through sport (to understand the change we are trying to support through sport).
  2. Program logics for sport programs and experiences (to understand how this change can be achieved and what would be important to show in an application).
  3. Preparing an impact or value statement (to best communicate this change, and to show value to stakeholders).
