SPORTS TALK FORUM
THE VALUE OF PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN LGAs, SSAs and RSAs
The 2017 Sport Talk Forum will showcase the value of relationships between Local Government Authorities and State Sporting Associations/Regional Sport Associations to produce better outcomes for sport.
The location of the 2017 Vicsport AGM, North Port Oval, is a prime example of the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved when a partnered approach between multiple parties is adopted. The redeveloped facilities at North Port Oval, which was a team effort by the City of Port Phillip, Port Melbourne Football Club, State Government of Victoria, the AFL and AFL Victoria, now provides a range of benefits to the community and will help preserve its heritage, while upgrading facilities to modern standards for sporting clubs and spectators alike.
Hosted by Vicsport CEO, Steven Potts, a panel of guest speakers will feature at the 2017 Sport Talk Forum. This includes:
- Shayne Ward – Government Partnerships & Facilities Manager for AFL Victoria
- Anthony Traill – Manager Open Space & Recreation Services | Infrastructure & Amenity City of Port Phillip
