2018 LEAD Masterclass - Mentoring vs Coaching

Following the success of the LEAP (Lead, Engage, Achieve, Promote) and LEAD (Lead, Engage, Acheive, Develop) program launched in 2016, Vicsport and the State Government are pleased to introduce the inaugural 2018 LEAD Masterclass.

The LEAD Masterclass is a unique event designed to develop the leadership skills and capabilities of female sport administrators in Victoria.

Over coffee and breakfast canapes, the LEAD Masterclass on 28 March 2018 will be facilitated by Telstra Businesswomen of the Year finalist, Alison Crab and Australia's most experienced transformational facilitator, Lyndall Russell. The breakfast will take place in the Champions Room at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.

The theme of the workshop is ‘Mentoring vs Coaching’. Key takeaways from the event will be:

  • Understanding the difference between mentoring and coaching
  • Harnessing the development of mentoring and coaching skills
  • Learning how to be inquisitive – having the ability to ask questions with confidence
  • Enhancing networking skills among like-minded female sport administrators

The LEAD Masterclass is open to all female sport administrators currently working in the industry.

The program will focus on aiding participants to recognise their strengths, build an ongoing support network of peers and develop the skills and confidence to achieve leadership potential.

Schedule for the morning will be:

7.30am - 8.30am = Mentoring vs Coaching session
8.30am - 9.30am = Networking with breakfast including tea, coffee and breakfast canapes
