2018 Victoria Active Ageing Partnership Forum – ‘Working well together: Promoting Active Ageing’

The Forum will be held on Thursday 23 August and its purpose will be to improve the knowledge and capacity of relevant service providers to successfully engage older people in physical activity opportunities. The Forum will include presentations from academic speakers, as well as service providers with case studies and practice examples. The Forum will cover strategies to promote partnership and co-design approaches, as well as other strategies and tools. Staff, managers, coordinators and volunteers from a range of settings and organisations are encouraged to attend. Professional development accreditation points from some relevant professional associations will be available for attendance at the Forum.

The VAAP Forum will provide attendees with an increased awareness of partnership and networking approaches to engaging older people in physical activity, as well as knowledge and awareness of various strategies and tools. The Forum is a great chance to meet other service providers involved in the provision of physical activity opportunities for older people.
